iPad 2 dying

I wish there is a way to sell my iPad 2 and get the newer one for a lower price. I just got my iPad 2 last September and I bet it's gonna survive till the iOS 7. But what's gonna happen after? Since some of the cool features like Airdrop isn't available anymore. What if iOS 8 comes out? The camera is getting degraded and I just feel helpless since I still don't have money of buying a new one.
